Waller County Jury hands down 50 years in prison for habitual felon…

On July 26, 2022 a Waller County jury serving in the 506th Judicial District Court sentenced 36 year old Deeantoine Lewis to 50 years in prison for Evading Arrest with a Motor Vehicle while out on parole from the Texas prison system. Lewis was on parole for robbery at the time he ran from police and had also previously been sentenced to prison twice for drug possession and for being unlawfully in possession of a gun by a felon. Thank you to the men and women of Waller County who showed up to do their civic duty. The Waller County D.A.’s office was represented by Sean Whittmore and Melissa Hudspeth.
