Waller County DA Responsibilities and Services

Responsibilities and Services

The Waller County Criminal District Attorney’s Office represents the State of Texas in the courts of Waller County. The Texas Legislature has also merged the office of the Waller County Attorney into the District Attorney’s Office resulting in the District Attorney having the powers of both a District Attorney and a County Attorney. The duties of the office include prosecuting crimes in trial court and on appeal. The office also prosecutes juvenile offenders between the age of 10 and 17 years.

In addition, the office serves as the primary legal representative for the Waller County Commissioners’ Court and all elected and appointed officials in county government and represents Waller County in the Texas courts.

We are proud to provide victim services for people that suffer from crimes committed in Waller County.

Our primary goal is to make Waller County a safer and better place to live, work, and raise families.
