Catalytic Converter Thieves Busted
Good job Hempstead P.D and Waller County Sheriff’s Office. For years we have heard “Houston is coming.” The truth is that some elements of Houston crime are already here. Thieves target us and our more relaxed lifestyles, and more and more homeless and those that are drug addicted are appearing on our small town streets. We still have time to prepare for these changes by demanding that our city governments hire strong and qualified police chiefs and we support them in their efforts. At the same time we can be open to assisting those who want to change before all hope is lost. But, holding those accountable who engage in theft and violence to support their addictions is paramount to the future or our community.
“The Waller County Sheriff’s Office assisted the Hempstead Police Department with the apprehension of four individuals suspected of stealing catalytic converters. Two of the four were found to be out on bond in Harris County for the same or similar charges.Judge Duhon issued hefty bonds, ranging from $15k-$30k, showing once again that Waller County takes a strong stand against those who want to commit crimes in our communities.Great job by the Hempstead Police department and all of our deputies that were involved! And thank you Judge Trey Duhon for your strong support for law enforcement in Waller County!” — Waller County Sheriff FB Page
