Hartfield, III. found guilty…
On Tuesday, September 27th 2022 a Waller County jury in the 506th Judicial District Court found Travis James Hartfield, III. of Hempstead, age 34, guilty of the first degree felony offense of Manufacture or Delivery of a Controlled Substance, the controlled substance being methamphetamine. The jury was chosen on Friday the 23rd and returned to begin work on Monday. The case was investigated by the West Side HIDTA (High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area) task force assigned to Waller County. On Tuesday the jury returned a guilty verdict and sentencing will be done by Judge Gary Chaney later this fall. Hartfield faces a minimum of 25 years in prison due to his previous felony convictions for Unlawful Possession of a Firearm by a Felon and Possession of a Controlled Substance. The State of Texas was represented by Mr. Bennett Dodson of the Waller County D.A.’s Office.
